Hello viewers welcome back to prathus food, Today I am posting very authentic recipe podi idli made by Krishna Manasa, she prepared this for guest post in my youtube channel, features every saturday, along with recipe she has sent me her mini garden pictures, I am posting those pictures also at the end of this blog.
Coming to recipe podi idli is very authentic snack recipe mostly made when we have left over idlis at home. We South Indian's have stock of any spice owder in stock to go with dosa's, idli's, hot rice..so here comes a very healthy, quick, handy snack for rainy evenings with out much effort or more usage of ingredients. So let's jump to recipe.
Ingredients:
- Left Over Idlis - 3 (cut into Cubes)
- Idli karam Podi - 2 tspns(made with curry laeves, dhaniya pwdr, red chillies)/ any sort is ok
- Oil - 2 Tblspns
- Mustard seeds - 1 tspn
- Urad Dal - 1 tspn
- Jeera - 1 tspn
- Dry Red Chillies - 2
- Curry Leaves - 5
- Ghee - 1 Tblspn
Method:
- Heat oil in kadai.
- Add mustard seeds, urad dal, jeera, curry leaves, dry red chillies.
- Add Idli karam podi, cubed idlis.
- Saute 2 mins till idlis coated evenly with spice powder.
- Serve hot with dollop of ghee.
